AD&D Gaming - I hate Rookroost
Today was gaming again...how do you get into a city where the guards and gnowls are alreaydy looking for "elven" folk, travelling with a human? Not a easy task my friends... . Finally my co-player had an idea and we managed the task via the sewer system of that city, which was quite an odorous adventure.
But we did it, we even completed the adventure today in delivering the captured human to Gaiyle (she hired me, an elven thief, and my co-player an elven assassin, and our helpers - a gnome, a priestess and a halfling- for the job which consisted in ambushing his carriage on a major trade road and delivering to Rookroost.
Sounds easy...haha, but it´s not. We had orcs attack us, guards look for us, almost both our characters died.
It was fun, but instead of a 4h game session (usual playing time for that small adventure) it took us at least 4 game sessions.
You just can´t be too careful.
I did have trouble playing my character as I should have - speaking about alignement that is - a thief character just can´t be
Lawful-Good.
Well, for now - I hate Rookroost....my character wan´t to go back to Wyverensmere (to my Thief´s Guild) and train some more...but no of course not, we got 3 companions now plus a Barbarian, which we promised to get to a specific Elvenland for healing the very badly wounded and uncouncious assassin.
So, our future adventures lie before us, at least we can travel by way of Greenkeep (an Elven-Rangers city hidden up in the trees) where it´s great to hang out and be among "your" race, elven that is and being taken care of....
Well, that was it...if I could just get the sewer part out of my mind *holding nose closed*...
